Tesla’s Full-Service Self Driving System and Semi-Truck will make it the largest Logistics Company in the US — Here’s why?

Tesla’s Full-Service Driving (FSD) system is rolling out quickly with 10.11 coming out.

This is already one of the fastest learning self-driving systems on the market with 60,000 beta users using it on a regular basis. This method’s rapid learning, feedback, and edge case inputs will push Tesla much ahead of the market regarding workability and monetization.

Here’s how Tesla becomes a Logistics Powerhouse

Permanent Resolution of the Driver Problem

Self-Driving Trucks are likely to be mainstream before Cars. Truck Driving is highly highway centric with less congestion and edge cases making it easier to automate. Tesla is soon rolling out a Semi in 2022 which will likely have FSD. This will mean Tesla has a complete model to run without drivers giving it a significant advantage — today driver shortages are a rampant problem that the industry faces each and every year.

The semi is so much better than other trucks

The truck is already easier to drive with fewer gears and has a better cockpit. But, what makes the semi-truck so much better is its range of 600 + miles which no other EV truck has. This means the truck is likely hands-down better than any other truck on the market.

Long haul trucking is fragmented due to difficult unit economics — an automated truck model will disrupt that

The trucking industry is highly fragmented due to difficult unit economics. There are thousands of small players. The semi it-self does $1.26 a mile compared to normal ICE trucks doing $1.51 a mile. Reducing the need for a driver (or full-time driver) and the battery economics means Tesla has a massive cost advantage over other players.

Look out — Tesla may soon be the largest logistics company!
