In 1930 the New Deal Sanctioned Federal Program Number One to uplift artists and creators after the Great Depression.

2022 mirrors the 1930s era in many ways — there is a sense of growing inequality, burnout, and polarization among communities. At the same time, the demand for being a creator has never been higher and more people want to take the plunge of being a creator.

Despite the demand, there are 2 challenges:

1. Large Disparity in Earnings For Creators

Despite the significant boom in social media, most creators don’t even earn enough to reach the US poverty line (97.5% in US).

The megastars make significant sums of money and most people consume their content but miss out on potential content that gets buried under.

2. Content Experimentation Get’s Pushed Under

Social Recognition of creators leads to conformity

Most creator’s are looking to quickly find content that leads to recognition, double down on that content and keep pushing the same messages out with little originality.

If creator’s are looking for large social recognition to ignite large financial gains orignality vanishes.

Creator Economy Platforms should inherit Federal Project # 1

Federal Project Number One devoted $27 Million (~$522 today) to employ artists, designers, etc.

This program expanded Americans’ access to the arts and created distinctively American art forms. A platform like Pinterest, YouTube, etc that provides a Universal Creator Income for it’s creators can enable to most diverse content creation spree.

De-risking the creator can lead to increased content on complex topics like Geology or Aerospace Engineering.

Such content can inspire action and fuel more innovation and creativity -ultimately creating Media Millionaires.
